The Dragon Apparent is chartered on a self-catering basis. You can stock up before you leave the Sisowath Quay and enjoy buying at local markets along the way.

She has a very well equipped galley kitchen which is open at the stern so you don’t miss a wonderful view down the river as you prepare your meals. The kitchen equipment includes a fridge and large freezer, a 2-burner gas cooker, plates, glasses and basic utensils. There is an ingenious charcoal BBQ that is suspended over the stern so you can barbecue on the move in complete safety.

Fuel & Drinking water

this one is on you

There are over a 1000 litres of fresh water on board for washing and showering. There but on a long trip you may have to take on water at one of the former French river ports that retain their markets along the way. Exchangeable 20 litre containers provide your drinking water.

Note that we do not markup on the petrol expense, and will charge you the exact amount you have used. You can trust us or check the gage with the Captain, before and after the trip.

Safety & insurance

you are all covered

The waterways of Cambodia are a particularly safe maritime zone. Pirates and thieves are nonexistent in these waters. People living on waters are from the Cham community with a strong stance against robbery and thievery.

The boat, its crew and passengers are covered by an insurance, subscribed with the local broker : INFINITY INSURANCE acting for Lloyds of London.

Sleeping capacity

The Dragon Apparent sleeps 4 in two cabins below deck (1 double in the saloon and 2 bunk beds in the second cabin). There are and two beds for camping on the upper deck that can be put together as one double where you can sleep in shuttered seclusion protected by a solid roof and vast mosquito net: your own camp on the river. Any number of hammocks can be slung for the more adventurous.

A group party of up to 10 (young or young at heart) adults in search of adventure can be accommodated so that the rental fee can be shared.…
